Try some Zinsser Allcoat- it adheres to almost everything and dries quickly. It comes in satin and gloss I believe. It's great for sprucing up those plastic drain covers and any black drain pipes.
Zinsser Allcoat is the paint I used.Goes on well, dries quickly and still got loads left in the tin!
My Mum is looking out some of her old pots for me to spruce up!

I used the Zinsser Allcoat Black Satin in the end.
Cleaned the pots first and then did 2 coats of paint.
Paint dries fairly quickly and as they are outside pots you don't have to paint anything that is not seen and you don't need to be too neat!
Also painted some bricks I use to raise pots up.
It is nice to tie up various plastic pots with one colour.
Found it has worked really well and I have plenty of paint left to touch up if need be.
