Saw this lovely plant when we stopped off in Metz. Does anyone recognize it?

    It looks like Gomphrena Haageana. A tender perennial. Can be grown from seed in this country, and treated as an annual.

    Yes! Fantastic! - many thanks indeed for that Borderline  :) I'll definitely be growing this next year.

    I will get seeds for that as well, hopefully it will grow here, wet and windy is the problem but for the price of seeds it’s worth a go. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
