Can I espalier a prunus autumnalis?

Is this possible? Has anyone managed it? I have a shady north facing wall that would be where I'd put it - just to add to the challenge...

That's useful, thanks Pansyface. I plan to plant one in the back garden also and let it grow freely. I guess I just thought the wall at the front of the house would suit that style of planting and I like the long flowering period and colours of the Prunus.

Based on this though it looks as though it might not respond too well to being trained in this way. I'll have another think.
