Holey potatoes

Pink Fir Apple, first time I've grown them.  I dug the first lot last week and they were fine.  I've just dug some more, and lots of them are full of holes.  There's no sign of anything that might have made them, but I had to throw a lot away.  Would I do better to dig them all and store them in the garage?

I would’ve harvested them by mid September. They store well if the skins are set and dry.

The slugs wreak havoc with potatoes in this wet weather.
