    Thanks for clarifying @Christian3 :)
Are you in an area where the hoggy habitat has been depleted perhaps? House/road building or similar?
It seems odd that you have so many during the day if it's not something like that. Hopefully, your efforts will help keep them healthy, and perhaps build up a little clan of them.
Do your neighbours feed them or encourage them in any way too? That can help as well. More power to your elbow anyway. The wee souls need all the help they can get  :)

Just as well you did clarify yourself mate as you'd have been shot down by the old timers on here who like everything prim proper and correct. Good luck with the hedgehogs pal

    We have bats

We bats in the soft evening
    but that's not the issue;
we garden is a large expanse
    and we get drifting hedgehogs.
a safe feeding safe from foxes.

    .......
    Beautiful.

I was just looking at your post again @Christian3, and you mentioned your pond and keeping the hogs away. Are you concerned they might fall in?
You could always net it, if it can't be made safe for them, and just leave a little edge for them if you can. If it's not possible, how about doing a small tray with water for them? Apologies if you already have all of that in place. Hope they're getting on well after the vets have seen them.  :)
We love hog success stories, as most of us here like to help hogs in any way we can.

hogs can swim quite well (during the heat of last summer we had one that used to come into our garden to cool down in our pond- funniest thing to see, under the gate - beeline for the pond, slight hesitation on the side and dive right in!), just make sure there's somewhere they can clamber out of the water

Absolutely @treehugger80- I was just wondering if Christian's pond was maybe one of those ornamental kinds with straight sides, and that was his worry?  :)

That must have been really funny, and enjoyable, seeing 'your' one swim!  :)

yes it was the fact he stopped, balled up a bit and then waterbombed spines first- he practically backflipped in, swam around for a bit, got out, gave himself a quick shake and off he trundled to get some food

That will have given his fleas something to reckon with

strangely the ones i get rarely have fleas, occasionally they have ticks that i remove but apart from that they're usually pest free
