We value your privacy,

Is anyone else polluted by this lot on the GW forum. up pops their page blocking off the discussions even though I have rejected it and rejected all,  it disappears for a few moments and then reappears.
I have actually got rid of it while I typed this.

Any suggestions would help please!

Thanks

    Try Adblock Plus  :)

    .

I have adblock ultimate, I even accepted their crap but it still comes up.

I have it disabled again to no avail.

    Thanks for the tip MP.

Strange as I never see any ads on this site.

It’s the Data Protection thingummy ... they have to do it .... its the law ... click on the bird you agree to and it’ll go away. But if you touch the Cookies button in the bottom right of the page it’ll pop up again so you can reset your preferences.

  • What @Dovefromabove said. Perhaps somehow they forget your settings. I occasionally have to do it, though not very often. Do you close your browser windows often and/or shut your computer or tablet down? That may affect matters.
As an aside, I'm using the firefox disconnect plugin, seems to work really well.

Duh 😒 don’t know where click  on the ‘bird’ came from ... flippin auto correct ... I probably meant ‘button’ or something along those lines.

But beware of touching the Cookies button accidentally 🙄

    .

    Success!

I downloaded "Privacy Badger" which said I had 13 potential trackers on the GW forum page, I disabled the lot and have had no more problems.

I was unable to view the page before for as soon as I got rid of the almost full page logo it immediately came back again.

Many thanks again for it sure was annoying whilst it lasted.
