Is this honey fungus?

Eighteen months ago we had some dying or dead elm trees taken down, Dutch elm disease thought the tree surgeon.

Now these funghi are growing from the stumps. Can anyone identify them, please?

  • I'd also say yes, again not as a mycologist but as someone who has HF in their own garden.  It looks identical to the Honey fungus growing here.  One partly diagnostic clue is that there is a 'ring' on the stem, which many look-alike fungi lack.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
