  • The first looks like a currant and the second a raspberry...I suppose if you don't want them in their current location, better get digging

  • Great thanks, I have just been given an allotment and I'm trying to work out what's there before the leaves fall. The raspberry is at the bottom of a cherry blossom and has some really long branches reaching across the plot, so I think digging it out is the best option.

  • If the stems are that long, it could be a tayberry or loganberry (or, indeed just a bramble!)
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
