I saw frost map in UK on net. It was quite blue. It always nice to see butterfly so late in the year.

Yes LB,  I was very cosy under the winter duvet.
When I was at my friend's this afternoon her grand daughter called in to say she was going to a wedding on Friday.  It's in a marquee from 3.30-1030 ......they will be freezing and it's a cold buffet for the meal.

I doubt that the poor thing will survive for very long Ante.
Eek Joyce, I hope she has got thermal everything! Not even a hot meal to keep her warm. This is when a wee dram might come in useful.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
  • Evening everyone,
Very chilly here today, the weather is definitely much colder than last week. But at least it's not raining!
We don't get trick or treaters in our road either it's a dead end to the woods and a bit away from the main part of the village.  I think it's a bit like begging at people's doors. Didn't do Halloween when I was little, it's very popular now though with people dressing up and decorating homes etc. Must admit some do look amazing.

LB, it's a Mormon wedding so no alcohol.  I suggested to friend's GD that a hip flask in  her handbag and a stroll in the castle grounds might be an idea.

SGL, hope you are feeling s bit better now.  Have lots of rest.

Evening SGL. Yes its very cold but being dry you can almost put up with it. I remember bonfire nights when it was icy and we used to bake potatoes in foil in the bonfire. So many times lately they have been rather damp and drizzly occasions. I hope for any parents going out with small people on Halloween that it is a dry night.

Hello Joyce and Lants, you snuckered in there. Joyce, I think you made a very good suggestion there.
