What plant is this?

Hello all, I'm new to the Forum and a beginner gardener..I visited Castle Drogo in Devon last week (well worth a visit both castle and garden) and spotted this plant which I'm keen to find out what it is.  Bright green leaves in a vine shape but the individual fruit/berries are on dark long stalks with a 'crown' of 3 spikes on each berry. Using a plant app it keeps telling me its a vine which I don't think it is. I think the app misses the berries on here which are very distictive.

Hi, the plants is a kirengeshoma or more commonly known as yellow wax bells. It's grows well in shade and I believe slugs quite like eating the young growth

It will also grow in sun, but I think it would need moisture, and cooler conditions generally,  to do well in a site like that  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • What app did you use? I'm thinking about trying some identification apps on techbigs.
