    I’m afraid there is no trunk at the base to be had (or had at, perhaps) Obelixx, as it’s been chainsawed down already to a short, stumpy, leaning base, planted on a narrow, difficult to access terrace about a metre from the ground, with long, whippy branches curving over and cascading to the lower level from which the photos were taken. It is beginning to get in the way of the path below, so will chop it back at some point, but it will never be a looker. I have renamed it inelegant-agnes (sorry Posy!).

    Indeed, its the Hydra OutofControlla variety of Inelegant Agnus.
