Phlox - pink star - dying?

I bought this small plant a few weeks ago and it had a few lovely flowers. However, after we had been away a few days, the flowers had all gone and it doesn’t look as healthy. I pruned it slightly to remove the dead tips and planted it in the garden in a sunny location as it states on the label. Does anyone know if it is likely to recover?

It doesn't look great but hopefully will be ok. Probably not been watered enough, and should have been potted on a good while ago, as it'll have used up all the nutrients in that little bit of compost it's been in.
I 'd prune off all the dead stuff. Make sure it doesn't go short of water early on if you're in a dry area.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Mine are like that now in the garden, they’ve finished, going into their rest period, get it planted out as soon as you can, cut the dead stalks off, it’s fine.

Thank you for your advice Fairygirl and Lyn. I have done what you both suggested and will keep my fingers crossed in the meantime!
