Removing weed membrane

    I bought a couple of bags of pea gravel to work into the soil. Anything that sort of size is excellent for helping open up clay.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It takes a while but it's well worth it as clay is good soil.

    The membrane might have done and excellent job and have been down a very long time. It will be blocking out light, if nothing else. I would just take a small piece up and plant that up - keeping things manageable. Get to know how you want to treat the soil and take up more membrane later.
