@Fairygirl 😄😄 no we didn't we already had the feed boxes up, and the squirrels used to jump from one tree to another, so my boys said we should make them a rope bridge to see if they would use it and it has been up ever since.
My garden is in a medium sized village, and has a definite pecking order🤣 for who eats where. In the bird feeders the gold finches eat niger seed, and the wood pigeons will pinch some too. The sparrows, starlings and three types of tits eat seeds and fat balls. The robin will only eat from the seed feeders during the winter, otherwise its from the hanging table or ground on which I put sunflower hearts or crushed peanuts. The ground feeders are wood pigeons, collard doves, blackbirds, dunnocks, chaffinches, and the robin. I get the odd visit from a sparrow hawk, wren, and a family of jackdaws . I do have to ensure each type of feeder gets a chance.😁
Thank you for your replies. I have read the other thread @George2019 with great interest. I feel like getting a bulk bag of seed now . Just need to find a safe space for storage that isn't already taken up by kids stuff or the husband's weightlifting stuff...
Just realised I've got the 2 threads mixed up and replied in the wrong one. So I've deleted it. It's clearly too late at night for me😒

They need specific habitats which is what makes it difficult.
Dunnocks eat everything here @purplerallim.The seed mix and the sunflower hearts. They go in my cages quite happily too
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
