Squirrels usually have them round here, but I'd guess there's no reason why you can't. They might spring into growth though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks for reply. I’ve put them in my compost bin! Obviously a mistake. I’ll just leave them and see what happens. Maybe have some copper beech trees to sell!
