Plum moth problems

Any recommendations please, for a plum tree that does not suffer infestations of plum moth maggots, I have just felled and burnt a ten year old Victoria tree because again i could pick 2-3 pounds of plums and I only got four edible fruit. This year I bought a trap which quickly filled with adult moths but to no avail as the fruit was ruined again.

I know of no trees that are resistant. I keep on persevering with plum moth traps and encourage tits into the garden by feeding fat balls through the winter.
