What is this? It appeared in a pot with agapanthus It is about 2-3foot high

  Looks like Helianthus annuus...common name sunflower.

  Yes, definitely a sunflower.  My Gran grew them all her life.

  If you’re in the U.K. it probably won’t do much now, they like hot sun, it’s going into winter now, at least it is here😀
