Our huge one came with the house. I wanted to get rid of it but slowly started to like it. I can't say I love it but it adds some vertical interest to the front garden and makes it look more wild (which I like).
It doesn't lose variegation but if it ever needs dividing for any reason, I would probably just get rid of it and planted a magnolia or amelanchier in its place.

I'm a little worried that my specimen of Phormium 'pink stripe' will grow to gigantic proportions if it continues...
Plus it's noticeably less "pinkish" and more "yellowish"...
    Just planted, 2017
    summer 2018
Today (sept. 2019) 160cm high and 160cm wide (and growing...)

Oh that is a definite colour change!
Not sure I’ve seen anything like that, but I’m motivated to go check all mine tomorrow.

Well tenax and t. Purpureum are huge. Actually cream delight has creeped up there and is pretty big, looking fab. I have plenty of others with a pink colour in (not sure of varieties but not pink stripe), and they are all much smaller, but the colour looks ok.

Looks great though Obelixx (I even prefer the more greenish colour). Maybe you could detach a division from the back and grow it on, to replace the plant when it gets too big. Currently the scale of it works perfectly in that pic and the silvery plants around it are a lovely foil.

Obelixx didn't post a pic of her phormium, I suppose you meant @Papi Jo. ;)
Yes that phormium looks quite nice, I'm only a little worried about its fast growth rate.
