    Hello Anni 😊
I was looking for a tree that had interest across all seasons and this really fitted the bill.
Plus it’ll give passers by something lovely to look at too.

The leaves on ours are just beginning to show some autumn colour 🍁 😎

I love them. I considered getting a couple for here, and I'm regretting that I didn't.
They'll just have to be in the next garden.... ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Mine got attacked by sawfly and other minor things in its first year, so I'm hoping that after the winter and with a good feed of seaweed tonic in the spring, it will have better resistance.

@dappledshade , this tree is considerably older than yours (30 years), but this gives you some idea of what's (hopefully) to come. This was in April this year.

That is absolutely beautiful AnniD! I’m hoping to get one for my back garden when it’s sorted, do you know which variety it is?
Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

So are ours! I love how they start off bright yellow, before marrying to a deep red. I love my amelanchier already ❤️

Surely you can squeeze a smaller variety in somewhere 😁

@Bright star, l don't which variety it is l'm afraid. It was planted by the developer. The guy who was in charge of the planting knew his stuff, and l made a point of asking him what it was, but not the variety. (Back in those days l didn't know that there were different varieties of tree types).
