Goldcrest Spirals

Hi All,

I've purchased two of these tress but id like to plant them quite close to my house (within a ft). Do I need to be concerned about the roots and what they could do?

Could I sink the pot into the ground to make it look planted whilst containing the roots within the pot?

Thanks in advance

You could plant it like that , but you would have to remember to water it regularly.  Even out of a pot, up close to the house wall will probably need additional watering.  As to what the roots will do it depends. If your house is modern on a concrete bed, that is unlikely to do any damage. If it is 300 year old and has inadequate foundations, it might.
