Re-locating my Bay tree

Hi All,

I purchased 2 small bay tress (4ft) and planted them at the front of my house about 2 months ago. I'd like to move them but am unsure if this will be ok. I think, ideally, id like to put them back in their original pots so I can move them around as required. if I'm likely to damage them then I'll leave them as is . 

Would welcome your thoughts

    They should be ok to moved but be gentle, they may not fit back into their original pots if the roots have grown but thats something you'll have to see for yourself

    I think it’s a good idea to keep them in pots ... mine is in a large pot with a mix of three quarters John Innes No 3 and one quarter horticultural grit to aid drainage. The pot is kept up on feet to ensure the drainage holes don’t block. I find it needs plenty of water in the summer but doesn’t like the soil to get boggy.
