i have made a bucket full of comfry fertilizer and i  have seen that Monty also made it.
who can tell my how much water i have to use to dilute it.  i know it is bad for plants when it is too strong (it does smell horrible!).  For instance is it 1 large teacup on three litres water. pls tell and thank you in advance!

    It's usually  about 1 part mix to 10 parts water.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    It needs to be the colour of weak tea. If you can't see through it, it is too strong. Better too weak than too strong.  It is a bit late for using it this year unless it is on dahlias and chrysanths.

    I normally dump the whole bucketfull into a waterbutt so I guess I end up with more like 1 to 15-20. I believe the organic fertiliser strength isn't as critical as the chemical stuff though as the contents are basically an unknown quantity anyway. Better to be cautious though.

    Thks fidgetbones as well. I used it today mainly on flowering garden potplants, including dahlia's. But i have a not very large but tightly packed towngarden, including as many flowering shrubs and perennials etc. as i can just to extend the flowering season for bee's, butterflies etc. Also some flowers in winter and very early in spring.  As it is so tightly packed they can use a bit of a fertilized soak. The colour of my diluted brew was exactly as you described.  I was very happy with the suggestions i received.
