A neighbour asked me for some forget-me-not seeds and seedlings for a memory garden as the forget-me-not is the emblem of the memory garden which I understand is for dementia sufferers

That makes sense, Pete, in fact I am sure there was a feature on GW on one for dementia sufferers a while ago, but I can't recall which one. Familiar flowers and scents from the past featured heavily.

Such an awful disease which took my mum a few years ago.
She asked me to get a nice greenhouse with some of the money she left me, so I turned the end of may garden into Mum's Garden with a lovely greenhouse, wildlife pond and raised beds which give me endless pleasure and lovely produce.
She worked in tomato greenhouses when she was evacuated in WWII and I fondly remember the rows of bottled tomatoes in the pantry from our greenhouse when I was a lad.

That's a lovely way to remember your mum @Pete.8.

I suspect rosemary for remembrance should feature in a memory garden and then favourite flowers to evoke memories from their colour, texture, form and/or perfume.
