I'm going to try the garlic spray affair on mildew. Has anyone has great results with it? Is there any point in persisting with it over the coming weeks?

I can’t think of any logical reason why garlic spray would work for mildew, but it might keep the slugs off.

@Nollie, My dahlias also got very bad mildew while I was away. No idea if it was too wet or too dry as they are in pots. I have removed most of the leaves and left it alone. They are looking very odd with huge flowers on top of bare sticks.

Hopefully they will recover and there will be tuber for next year.
