Self seeded

I’ve just transplanted some self seeded young plants from the borders into small pots. They look like they could be rudbeckia or echinacea. Is there any way of telling apart from waiting until they flower?

    R.Goldstrum have quite large wide heart shaped leaves , the echincea tend to be long and narrow . I've just been and looked at mine in the garden and its raining again thats the best I could describe them .

    The one in the middle looks like a Rudbeckia to me with the one to the left of it a Echinacea, you'll have to wait and see otherwise.

    Thanks, @Perki. I like both, though I’m not sure I have any space for them. I’ll grow them on and maybe give them away.

    I think I'd agree with @Perki. The majority look like Rudbeckia, but those two have longer, narrower leaves so probably Echinacea. The foliage can be quite similar when they're small. It'll get clearer as they grow on though.
    Nice healthy looking cuttings though!  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
