Bush identification

Hello!

can anyone please let me know what this Bush is and how I prune/tame it?

    It's a Rose, if it's been planted by a trellis, probably a climber

    Thanks for your help.

    I suspected it was a rose but it hasn’t budded this summer at all. I actually put the trellis up because it looked for messy before but I am just starting out in gardening so not really sure what I’m doing

    I'm not much of a Rose grower but we have members who are so I'm sure you'll get some help

    I don't grow them either, but many of them need a fair bit of food and water to do well. 

    If it's been neglected, or has got dried out, or been incorrectly pruned, that may well be part of the problem  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    ...have you or anyone else there been cutting that rose back to the ground, or very low, every year or this year?... all those green stems look  young and fairly recent... I do not see any mature growth...
