Where to buy rough grit potting grit?

My wife uses a lot of grit for her sempervivum garden.
We used to buy the large RHS bags which were 3 for £12 and grey in colour.
It was the potting grit, not the decorative smooth grit that you top the plant pot with to make it looks nicer.
Have not seen the rough potting grit for several months. She finds using the topping grit instead in the soil mix is not as effective and the sempervivums are wet and rotting away because of this despite using more and more gravel in the mix.
Has anyone seen the rougher potting grit around or found a good online source which isn't overpriced?
