Unknown insect

Hi, i was doing some gardening and saw a couple of insects ive never seen before. I can only describe them as being like a mini millipeed about 1 inch long. Can anyone tell me what they are ??

    Any reason why you don't think they're actually small millipedes? There's something like 50 or so species in the UK (I'm assuming yu're UK based?) so they do vary quite a bit.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I didnt know we had milipedes in this country. Ive just never seen them before.

    They're mainly nocturnal but it's a sign of a good healthy garden to have them around. Go out at night with a torch and you'll be amazed at what is lurking around the place.
