Hello djsteve and welcome to the forum. Would it be possible for you to take more 'close up' pictures of the two plants as they are a little indistinct in these ones. That is a gorgeous feature!

1st pic is copyright of Aquascapes inc. No idea which country/climate it is. So I suspect djsteve6 has just seen image on www. Impossible from above pics to id the plant...even when trimmed as above.
If you live in UK and want a shrub that mimics the look in that pic then I suggest Gaultheria shallon.
