Eremurus

Morning all,

Have been thinking for a while what to plant for succession to my beautiful peonies at either end of my main border. Was considering underplanting with some Eremurus...think they'll look dramatic popping through the glamorous leaves of the peonies...am I being foolish?

Eremurus hate any competition and they like to have their tubers baked, so your plan might not work.

  • it's a very sunny border...was thinking they'd get enough heat there. Open to suggestions of the upright kind...could try some alliums...but don't really fancy them in that spot.
