Plant/tree ID help please!

Hi, I’m a novice gardener who has just moved into a new house. Please could someone help me ID this tree / plant? It has very large oval leaves (up to 30-40cm long) and a hollow stem and grows very fast. I’m hoping it’s not knotweed because of the leaf shape and stem pattern. . Thank you!

It looks similar to my neighbour's Elder tree - but hers has elder berries on it at present. Is there a mature Elder nearby?
