Cat safe wood preservative ?

I know this is a long shot but I wonder whether there are any cat safe wood preservatives( for my fencing) on the market? I know that cresote  is extremely toxic for cats.
Many thanks

I don't think any paints have creosote in them now.

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • @Fairygirl is correct. Creosote can only be used by folk with a license to do so (farmers etc).
Ordinary fence paints applied according to directions on the tin will be fine for your cat once it’s dried. 👍 🐈

I forgot to say - most fence treatments are water based. You need a good dry spell to allow the paint to 'cure' properly, and it will then do a better job.
