Chilli help.

I wondered if anybody could identify these (if I can upload the picture) purple chillis? They were bought as ‘rainbow chillis’ but look nothing like expected?

I am v/new to an interest in gardening and lacking in any garden knowledge so apologies if I have asked a “how long is a piece of string“ type of question.

As ever, thanks for looking and for any replies.

Looks like Bolivian Rainbow - starts off purple then changes colour as the fruit matures ending up red. Give it a few weeks and you will have a wide range of colours as new fruit is produced and older fruit ripens.
  • They change colour several times as they ripen, ending-up red when fully ripe.  I see most of the suppliers from ebay etc. are using the same photo in their adverts.  Because they are seed-sown, there will be some natural variation between plants.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
