Something munching Fatsia Japonica leaves

I have this in a tall container on a gravel driveway in a position of morning sun and some late afternoon sun. No other plants nearby… and no insects that I’ve seen. However something seems to be munching the leaves... any ideas what it might be or how to stop it?
