Since we put a wildlife pond in with a nice damp wood pile the amount of slug damage has decreased in line with distance from the pond. Nice big lupins and hostas near the pond, munched on closer to the house but not as much as before the pond. It's not big, 3 foot by 4, about two foot deep.
