Plant ID

Hi,
Does anyone know what this plant is? I thought it may be Ivy as it’s really thick and grown quite quickly over the last few months. Looks as if it may flower though... mother in law thinks it may be a climbing Hydrangea?

It does look like a climbing Hydrangea to me too, but not totally sure. Hopefully someone that grows these plants may recognise it.

If it's a Hydrangea, it will overwhelm that trellis, they prefer to be growing on a strong wall.

There is a tiny white flower just forming actually, you are right it looks like the one on RHS... lovely flowers though, quite vintage looking. It’s quickly covered the arch and my lovely climbing rose. I may leave it to flower then take it out but don’t really have anywhere else to put it
