Unhappy succulent

Hi,  my succulent is not really happy,  its lost its plumpness and leaves are curling in.  Am I watering too much? Not enough? The pot is quite deep and actually the moisture meter shows into blue deep inside but dry at the top.

I suspect that pot has no drainage and there is a sump of stagnant water at the bottom.

I would repot into an unglazed ceramic half-pot ... this sort of thing https://the-plant-directory.co.uk/pots-and-saucers/half-pots-terracotta-clay/terracotta-half-pot-8-inch

with crocks at the bottom and a mix of half multipurpose compost and half coarse horticultural grit.

You can then put the pot inside another more attractive container if you wish but always check after watering to ensure that surplus water isn’t accumulating in the bottom.

    Hope that helps 😊
