Second one is berberis thunbergii atropurpureum I think. I can see some thorns.

I'd go with cotinus, the leaves are too big for berberis, plus the seedheads. I'm forever finding them in my garden from my neighbour's shrub

Not Berberis, I agree it is Cotinus.
