Rowan tree looking sickly

  • I have a Rowan tree which I've had for about 23 years. It was planted from a very small stem but quickly established it”s self and thrived. Every year there was an abundance of berries and the foliage was thick and green.

Last year it formed many buds and looked as if it was going to be another healthy summer. For some reason the buds turned black an any leaves which did appear turned brownish-black and the tree was bare. It's been suggested that we cut it down as it's dead but I'm not convinced that there's nothing we can do to save it as it holds very sentimental value to me. Can anyone help ?

Sorry, but if it didn't have any leaves last year, then it will be dead.
How can you lie there and think of England
