Penstemon Snowstorm

Having just bought a Penstemon Snowstorm from the half price bench in the GC, any tips or photos before I plant it in the flower bed would be appreicated, thanks.

    Years ago it was known as "White Bedder", l know that much !
    I've got a couple of these in full sun, but they will be okay in part shade. If you can, l'd take some cuttings as insurance in case it doesn't overwinter. 
    Also, don't cut it back until late Spring, to protect it during the winter.

    That's sound advice, thanks @AnniD , l tried the jam jar/water method for rooting the last Penestemon - red flower, after a few non-starters I managed to get half a dozen to produce roots, so I think I will do that with this new Snowstorm, although the GC have already pruned the flowers and newer growth off.  I do hope it thrives.

    I've tried rooting them in water ( after reading on here that folk said it was easy ) and they just sat there for 3 weeks and did nowt. I popped them into compost and rooted in no time.

    I have the same one. It can be grown in full sun or half shade as Anni said but I do find that it flowers better in full sun. I have taken cuttings in April from soft growth and in September on the woodier growth. They overwinter well and flower the next year. They definately like good drainage.
