Carrots - too late to sow now?

Main crop spuds lifted so could carrots be sown now?

    Have you got any cloches or mini-polytunnel type covers? We're due a bit of warm weather so they should germinate and if you can protect them long enough you might get a small crop.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
