Can you identify this shrub in our porch and if the coloring means it is dying

    It's just a common box, aka Buxus Sempervirens. Give it a trim and maybe repot it...can't tell how big the pot is but doesn't look particularly roomy.

    If the porch is enclosed, the box would probably be happier outside. It might be getting too hot if it's in a glass porch.

    Don't trim too much off as you could spoil the shape.  I would definitely move it outdoors and remove the stones as they will get hot and it will need a lot more watering. A bigger pot with some new compost would be good too. If you do want to top dress it you could use bark but I would be inclined not to bother.
