Should I cut off Abundance of courgette leaves

hi
ive only had a few courgettes on my plant but the leaves seem to have changed shape- weird!- they were a solid shaped leaf but now are more open patterned leaf?? There also now seems to be lots of leaf, all covering any potential courgettes from sun. Should I cut them off?

    If your picture won’t appear try reducing its size ... that usually works 😊

    the fruit don't need any sun, so leave the leaves as they are.

    The male ( flowers ) always come first - not much new there then  :D  
    As @Dovefromabove says - patience is needed.
