gurkins

in Fruit & veg
can't figure out what happend with those gurkins. skin is hard and taste around seeds is bitter. rest is ok. can some one explain?

    I think you may have left them on the plant too long. Gherkins should be harvested while still young and green.

    Yeah I'd say they're ripening, which isn't a good thing with cucumbers.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
