Rose pruning. Shrub? Climber?

OZZOZZ Posts: 14
Can someone please take a look at my rose and let me know if it's a climber, rambler or a shrub? How do I prune it properly for next season? Thank you!

Looks like it has ambitions on be a climber but then again it could just be an overgrown shrub rose.  I suggest you treat it as a climber to start with but it is not the right time for major pruning so keep dead-heading it for the rest of the summer and into autun, remove any obvious dead or broken stems and have a read of this info from the RHS:

https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=189 There are links to pruning other kinds of roses as well as climbers.

I would suggest a mulch around the roots of well-rotted garden compost or manure in autumn and again next spring once you've pruned it.
