  I'm not sure it is a cornus.

  looking at the remains of flowers on the left in the second photo, I'm convinced it's NOT cornus, but can't say what it IS.

  The flower head is a lily had has entwined across -
  Sorry for confusion. I thought I’d bought Cornus florida
