Have had this rose tree for 20 years,but it's not flowered for years is it worth keeping

    When replacing your rose, I would choose a completely new site. Soil gets rose sick - that must have a proper term but I don't know what it is. It just means that putting a new rose where there's been one previously doesn't work. It looks as though you have self set ferns growing in the roots which suggests the opposite environment to what roses prefer. With care, perhaps you could save the ferns as a memorial to your rose.
