Cutting back Geranium

pjwizonpjwizon Posts: 52
I have two Geranium Rozanne that are still producing fllowers, but are looking straggly, floppy and tired. Is it too late in the season to cut them back hard in the hope of getting more flowers?

"Too late in the season" is rather dependent on how the weather behaves in Autumn. Sometimes it's worth cutting plants back just to make them tidier and if the weather continues warm and sunny into September and October, you could be rewarded with more flowers.

Good advice from Ceres above ; I cut back several different species two-weeks ago to ground .
Visited yesterday and you wouldn't even know they'd been cut ; lush growth and some were showing secondary flower stems !
