Neil Calvert

Good Afternoon All,

Can anyone please tell me the name of this plant? I'm led to believe it to be a Fuchsia called 'Ballerina' but I can find only one reference to it on the internet.

Superb colours, I love to have one on my patio.

Regards & thanks,

Neil.

    Hi Neil,
I see it's something off Pinterest with no clue as to where it came from. Does it even exist or is it something that has been photoshopped? It's certainly unusual and would look good in a Goth garden.
  • Hi. I really don't know one way or the other. My thoughts are to put it out there and see if anyone knows for sure.

    Hello Neil,
I don't think it's "Ballerina" by any stretch of the imagination,  as @Ceres says, it looks like something that's been photoshopped. I think it's been used for a greetings card.
To me, "Ballerina" looks like this

That has been Photoshopped ... all the red/cerise has been replaced with purple. 🙄

  • Many thanks.

    Such a shame.

  • Wasn't someone asking about this a few weeks ago. Something about wanting it for a mum or daughter and also something about New Zealand.

@NannaBoo, if memory serves me right, it was someone looking for a fuschia called "Jacqueline" or something like that.
  • Yes your correct AnniD but I have seen this somewhere before. I often go on printnet so most likely was on there. Sorry for the mistake.

If it has been photoshopped they have taken a lot of time over it as the leaves and each of the buds match the colour while the background is still a 'normal' green. Very impressed with the skill.
