Is this weed I am growing?

Please identify this plant. Its grown up nearly 5' tall and about to flower, tiny little yellow. The leaves on mature stem is about 6" long and 1 1/2 " wide.

    Well I wouldn't recommend smoking it :#

    Agree with goldenrod (Solidago canadensis) but it might be a cultivar such as s. 'Goldenmosa'.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Shall I leave it or get rid of them?  I will let them flower and before it seeds I will remove. I read goldenrod is invasive.
